Christian Malford Village Hall Rebuild Project: Fundraising Update – January 2026

The Grants Campaign Team, composed of 17 volunteers, was established in late November 2025. Subsequently, two initial meetings took place - one in December 2025 and another at the beginning of January 2026.

As of December 2026, the team targeted 30 funding opportunities, including the National Lottery, distributing these across members for application preparation and submission. An additional three potential funds are now being pursued. Several team members have made substantial progress with their assigned applications.

New funding prospects continue to emerge and previously categorized uncertain or marginal funds are being reassessed. A reallocation of assignments will occur following further feedback, as it is anticipated that some funds may prove ineligible. There is notable volatility regarding grant criteria and potential award amounts.

A summary table below outlines our funding progress to date, including the closure of applications to five funds, with reasons provided therein. Positively, we have secured our first two awards: £20,000 from the Bradenstoke Solar Park Community Benefit Fund and £10,000 from the Landfill Community Fund (Hills).

Additional volunteers are encouraged to join the Grants Campaign Team. Expanding our team will enhance our ability to approach a broader range of prospective donors.
