CHRISTIAN MALFORD VILLAGE HALL UPDATE (14 OCT 25) Christian Malford Village Hall CIO held its first Annual General Meeting on Monday, 13 October 2025. The Charitable Trustees presented their annual report and accounts, which showed a healthy profit (c.£20k). All seven Trustees stood down in accordance with the constitution and were re-elected to serve for a further year. Wiltshire Council planners have delayed the planning decision for the new Village Hall for a second time.

VILLAGE HALL UPDATE – 31 AUG 25
We had expected the planning decision by 1 Sep 25; however, the Planning Officer has requested an extension to 8 Oct which we have agreed. Currently we only have the Ecology department to satisfy before Planning approval can be granted. There are currently 3 items outstanding: Ø Preliminary Ecology Assessment (PEA Ø Bio-diversity Net Gain Report (BNG) Ø Bat survey Two quotes have been requested; we are reasonably confident that we can get both the PEA and the BNG completed be

Village Hall Update (6 Aug 25):
Wiltshire Council has closed the consultation phase on our planning application. They have calculated the latest date for a decision on our application is 1 Sep 25. There were no objections from the public - we do not anticipate any problems (fingers crossed!).

Below is a structured timetable for the New Village Hall Rebuild project, based on our milestones and standard UK planning processes. This assumes all goes to plan with Wiltshire Council and any relevant statutory bodies.
