2 Oct 1925 : Frederick Grainger submitted planning permission, to Chippenham Rural District Council, to build the Village Hall in Christian Malford. 12 Nov 1925 : 24 Villagers formed the Village Hall Committee and held their first meeting at Mermaid Farm. 17 Dec 1925 : The Village Hall was officially opened (reported in the North Wiltshire Herald on 24 Dec 1925). 11 weeks from submitting the planning application till the official opening - that's impressive!

Village Revue January 2026
The Malford Players are delighted to present the next Village Revue to be held on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th 2026. We have 19 Acts .. some are Malford Players but many are from a wider set of Village performers. We have an amazing set of types of performances and I can’t wait as these are going to be 2 great nights. We have around 40 performers in total.
