CHRISTIAN MALFORD VILLAGE HALL REBUILD PROJECT: UPDATE - 14 SEP 2026

On 2 September 2026, the Parish Council approved the Village Hall CIO Board’s request to apply for a £400,000 Public Works Loan (PWL). a repayable over a period of 35 years.

On 14 September 2026, the Parish Council forwarded the application to the County Association of Local Councils, part of the National Association of Local Councils (NALC), for review.

The Association does not approve the loan; its role is to check the application before it is submitted to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

MHCLG will assess the application and make the final decision on whether approval is granted.

We have requested a decision on our loan application by 4 November 2026.

Once MHCLG approval has been obtained, the Parish Council will be able to apply to the Public Works Loan Board (PWLB) operated by the UK Debt Management Office, for the actual loan.
