CHRISTIAN MALFORD VILLAGE HALL UPDATE (14 OCT 25)

Christian Malford Village Hall CIO held its first Annual General Meeting on Monday, 13 October 2025. The Charitable Trustees presented their annual report and accounts, which showed a healthy profit (c.£20k). All seven Trustees stood down in accordance with the constitution and were re-elected to serve for a further year.

Wiltshire Council planners have delayed the planning decision for the new Village Hall for a second time. We remain hopeful that a decision will be made on 14 November 2025. As a possible condition of approval we may require another bat survey; this would need to be conducted between May and August 2026. Once planning permission is granted, we will begin seeking donations and grants to support the project. Our aim is to start construction of the new Village Halls in February 2027.

We are also in the process of merging the old Village Hall charity into the new Village Hall CIO charity.
