On Saturday, 25 April 2026, the Village Hall was the venue for a comprehensive lifesaving first aid course. This event was organised to provide both an introduction and a refresher on essential first aid techniques for community members.
The course was divided into two sessions, with each session lasting two hours. This structure allowed participants to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in a supportive setting. The course covered:
• Resuscitation techniques
• Understanding and operating a defibrillator
• Treatment for anaphylactic shock
• Managing choking incidents
The course aimed to equip attendees with the skills and confidence necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations within the community.
Twenty-five people participated in this Village event, receiving training from two community members.
