Village Hall - 1925

2 Oct 1925: Frederick Grainger submitted planning permission, to Chippenham Rural District Council, to build the Village Hall in Christian Malford.

12 Nov 1925: 24 Villagers formed the Village Hall Committee and held their first meeting at Mermaid Farm.

17 Dec 1925: The Village Hall was officially opened (reported in the North Wiltshire Herald on 24 Dec 1925).

11 weeks from submitting the planning application till the official opening - that's impressive!
