A planning application for ‘Option 3’, the clear favourite resulting from public consultations earlier this year, was officially submitted to Wiltshire Council on 2 July 2025.
The proposal seeks to takedown the existing timber frame and corrugated iron hall, rebuilding on the existing footprint leaving in place the existing store and toilet block with a minor extension to fill the space between the store and toilet block (this is a resubmission of our previous application (PL/2023/00354) which is now closed.
The application was validated by Wiltshire Council’s Planning Department on 7 July 2025 (Planning Application: PL/2025/05635); this marks the beginning of the formal planning process.
Given the format of the application it should be somewhat quicker, less costly, and avoid a number of steps (surveys etc) that we have already completed for our previous application.
We thank you for your continued support; we remain fully committed to delivering a new Village Hall, a project that provides for the communities needs, and meets our vision for the future.
