GRANTS AND FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
The Campaign is pursuing over 30 active opportunities, with major funding applications submitted to the National Lottery Community Fund (£150k) and Garfield Weston Foundation (£30k), both received specialist reviews before submission and we hope to have more clarity on them by late April. We also await a decision on the Community First grant from Thomas Crapper & Sons.
Several applications, including several where specific data is needed, will be made shortly.
The current status is summarized in the table below:
Other progress includes establishment of how grant conditions will be handled and communicated, with the Campaign Team now responsible for capturing and clarifying award requirements for the Rebuild Team.
Next Steps:
· Continue identifying and assessing new funding sources, grants and generally.
· Progress grant candidates to applications, including second stages were necessary.
· Continue community fundraising, including a donation appeal to villagers.
· Funding review on 1 Sep 2026 to clarify any shortfall and consider a Public Works Loan.
RE-BUILD COMMITTEE REPORT
The Re-build Committee is focused on preparing documentation for the September 2026 invitation to tender, with over half of the work now complete.
Next Steps: In September 2026, the ‘Invitation to Tender’ will be issued, pending confirmation of project funding by the CIO Board.
