‘We have applied for £150k from the National Lottery Community Fund for the following reasons:
We were unsuccessful with our earlier application for £700k
We can claim that the potential award of £150k is matched funding
This lies within the range of awards they have made for Projects like ours
An award of £150k will enable us to proceed alongside: existing funds, smaller grants and a precept increase .. as discussed in the Village meeting in May 2025 and the subsequent survey conducted
The Fund considers applications in two stages. The first assesses the value of the project against their missions and will take ‘up to 3 months’. If we are successful then we must satisfy them about the deliverable value of the project, our ability to carry it out and costings. This can take ‘up to 6 months’.
