Village Hall rebuild options survey

Hi all

I wanted to post a personal request for people to complete the Village Hall Re-Build Options Survey. The deadline is a week today. Surveys can be completed and returned to the Village shop.

Clearly given my involvement as chairperson of the CIO Board .. I have a personal interest in ensuring that Christian Malford has a welcoming Village Hall for years to come .. that future generations can use as a focal point for our Community.

You may think that this is a matter that will be dealt with by others .. and you would be right .. if you don’t register a vote then others will be heard and we will try to move forward accordingly.

You may think that you don’t need to register your opinion as it will be lost amongst what others think .. you may not have a strong view and are happy for others to decide .. and again yes to some extent you would be right.. we will draw a conclusion in terms of the future direction from the responses we receive although we want to hear from as many people as possible.

You may think that as a consequence of the above you don’t need to

respond to the survey. But this is where I want to provide some clarification. We need to raise a lot of money and will try to secure as much as possible from grant applications. One of the key things that any grant organisation will look at is what consultation we have done and what level of response we secured from the Village. The more complete the response the more it will help us with grant applications which ultimately will help us move forward with whatever option is chosen and will also help to minimise any potential Precept increase.

So please help us by responding to the Survey and give us the best chance of having a great Village Hall at the heart of our community for many years to come.
